A man of titanium rock and soul
shares his remarkable story and songs
Join Carl Dixon for a feel good, inspiring night of hit songs and stories. Carl's solo show features that famous voice and songs from the iconic bands Carl's been part of while making Canadian rock history.
A night with Carl Dixon is more than a night of brilliant live music. Carl weaves the intimate stories behind how those classic songs from The Guess Who, April Wine and Coney Hatch, were created.
The show is presented in two halves
The songs and stories from a life well rocked include Carl's days opening for Iron Maiden for 40 shows and Judas Priest while in Coney Hatch. He shares music and stories from his time with April Wine and eight years as lead singer of The Guess Who - then his remarkable comeback story after a shocking car accident. Music features as Carl explains his journey back to life.
The second half features music that Carl loves to play, an audience singing lessons and Q and A session. Carl always attends a meet and greet after the show.
"It's hard to believe he's playing one guitar. It sounded like a band" - attendee Rose Theatre Brampton 2019
"Carl Dixon's solo show was the best show we've had at this theatre in twenty years" - Board member Townshend Theatre Tour De Fort, Fort Francis
Carl's witty observations of life on the road makes for a thoroughly entertaining night of story and song. He remains one of the most respected and well liked artists in the cut throat world of recording.
Carl toured with Iron Maiden (40 shows). He also toured with and played alongside Judas Priest, Gowan, Styx, Kim Mitchell, Heart, Trooper, Grand Funk Railroad, Peter Frampton and more in a career spanning three decades.
His story came full circle when The Guess Who invited him back for two sell out shows in the USA in 2016, eight years after the car accident lost him that role. With no rehearsal he knocked the performance out of the park. The reunion was emotional for all.
What a life! What a story! It's now been published in his publisher's top 10 best selling books
